I have started using a Canopus ADVC-55 video converter to record from TV into iMovie. I needed some Applescript to stop the recording and save the iMovie project late at night. This script sends a space character to stop the recording, then clicks the edit button to switch from camera to edit mode (this took some research!) and finally sends the Command-s keystroke to save the project.
